Our client is a leading, dynamic and supportive Healthcare organisation who are currently recruiting for an exciting new Medical Equipment Engineer. Our client work extensively within the medical Compounding. This exciting role will be working at their bases in Oxford and Mount Vernon. The main purpose of this role is to conduct, coordinate and manage equipment related maintenance. Essential Requirements: Technical understanding of cleanroom plant and associated equipment. Experience of operating within maintenance and project engineering functions. Knowledge and experience of engineering best practice. Good level of experience of maintaining electrical and mechanical plant and equipment. A Craft Apprenticeship (& HNC preferred) in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering is required. At least 5 years' experience as a 'hands-on' multi-skilled engineer maintaining electrical, control, mechanical and pneumatic related plant and equipment. Experience of installation of new plant and equipment. Experience of working as a support function with a high focus on reliability. Minimum of 3 years' experience of effective equipment maintenance and maintenance scheduling within the Pharmaceutical / Medical Device industry. Role Responsibilities: Demonstrate a safety-first approach to every single aspect of the role. Trouble shooting, fault finding & resolution to root cause of compounding related plant and equipment. Ownership of shutdown planning and execution. To implement the engineering improvement plan for specified Compounding Units. Heavy focus on reliability of plant and equipment, working relentlessly to ensure that plant availability & OEE metrics are continuously improved. To plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment within the Compounding Units. Active member of the Perfect Equipment Steering Committee. Provide a standardised perfect equipment system across the specified Compounding Units in collaboration with local operational staff and the Engineering Manager. Performing requalification of Isolators and sanitisation cycles. Required to write reports as required. Role Specific Competencies: Practical Problem Solving. Project Management. Risk Assessment.
