Technical Architect (Java Applications, DevOps) Cheshire or Nottingham 6 months £600 - £625 per day DMSG Professional Services require experienced Technical architects who will be responsible for leading technical design activities and delivering innovative solutions. You'll do this using a variety of technologies, such as Java, Python or .Net, delivering them within agile environments in cross-functional teams, where you'll be surrounded by an innovative and highly technical team who are seeking to learn, develop. The ideal candidate will be from a coding background and will enjoy designing new solutions and improving new efficiencies. Demonstrable tech skills in the following areas will be screened against: - Designing scalable, resilient, performant solutions for a range of technologies across all layers of the application. - Developing Web Applications using modern frameworks in one of Java, C# or equivalent, on either Windows or Linux platforms. - Current Security practices, ensuring solutions are robust and secure. - Designing solutions within an Agile delivery environment, without requiring big upfront design. Demonstrable leadership skills in the following areas will be screened against: - Mentoring junior team members, and sharing knowledge with the wider engineering team - Actively participates in knowledge sharing activities, both within the team, and within the wider engineering capability. - Discussing technical and non-technical issues with a range of non-technical people, including Customers. - Experience of managing people, mentoring and motivating them to help achieve their best performance.
