We are immensely proud of our family ethos which we are committed to maintaining throughout our business. A vacancy has arisen for a Project Engineer to operate from our Longbridge office. Your role will be primarily associated with the production of outline and detailed civil design for wastewater Infrastructure projects. Main duties include: - Civil and hydraulic design of structures and pipework associated with waste water infrastructure, - Preparation of civil general arrangement drawings, - Interpretation of ground investigation reports, - Selection and appraisal of suppliers and their design submissions, - Preparation of documentation in accordance with the CDM regulations, - Identification of temporary works requirements for permanent works design - Preparing and maintaining the project programme from feasibility to site start - Liaison and arrangements with Client and third parties (e.g. local Council, Environment Agency, other utilities) - Co-ordination of design at all stages - Attendance at design, progress and site meetings as required. Ideally the person will also have some experience of: - Autodesk Civil 3D or Revit - Waste water infrastructure knowledge, - Knowledge of Severn Trent Water and their ways of working, - The AMP6 arrangement at contract framework project delivery level (understanding of processes and procedures for design and project delivery). Skills and Qualifications - Experience of working within the water industry, - Excellent ICT knowledge and skills, including AutoCAD - Highly self-motivating, - Be able to organise personal workload, - Innovative thinking, - An excellent communicator, - A high level of diplomacy and customer focus, - Working within a team environment.
