Graduate IP Network Engineer - Junior IP Network Engineer wanted by expanding national telecoms service provider. The role reports to the IP Operations Manager, it is a hands-on operational role providing proactive and reactive support of Core Network Device Security and Software/Patch Policy. The role will include the day-to-day management, configuration and support of Applications used to enforce policies and compliance (protective monitoring) related to both Core and CPE devices. The role will also encompass other aspects of supporting a multi-vendor network (Cisco and Juniper IP MPLS), to include troubleshooting, diagnostics and configuration support. They are looking for a technically competent individual who is looking to develop a career in IP networks as part of a diverse and fast moving, operational team. This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and exposure to network protocols, security and hardware/software support. Location - Manchester Qualifications/Skill Required Applicants will typically be qualified to a minimum 2:1 degree level in an engineering or related technical discipline. We will look to graduates with an Engineering or Telecommunications degree favourably. The successful candidate will be a forward thinking, innovative problem solver. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and able to work with minimal support commensurate with training around a structured role incorporating defined tasks and responsibilities. Our expectation is that the candidate will form a key part of the IP Operations team, following a progressive and supported development/learning program. The candidate will have excellent communication skills and will be expected to work with other support teams within the business. You will be trusted to work in an environment where we expect everyone to work smart and work hard, the onus is on the individual to develop themselves alongside any formal management led training initiatives. Full training will be given on our Products as well as ongoing coaching and support. Essential - Minimum 2:1 degree in Telecommunications, Engineering or computing discipline. - Strong communication skills and can-do attitude. - CCNA or JNCIA Qualification - Knowledge and understanding of IP Networks and Protocols
