Systems Test Engineer Our globally recognized Engineering Consultancy is expanding to support the growing number of projects here in the UK and as a result FEV is looking for self-motivated enthusiastic graduates who would like to follow a career in engineering. Successful candidates will show a focus on the quality of their work and a methodological approach to execute tasks. The Role Accountability / Key Responsibilities *Develop and review vehicle feature software test functionality, used within engine and powertrain control systems, including interfaces and integration with other vehicle systems. *Close liaison with customer teams, including; control software development, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and vehicle base testing, targeting production build phases. *Management of test validation plans and processes/procedures liaising with customer and suppliers. *Direct accountability to local customer manager. Key Requirements *Degree in engineering (including systems and/or automotive elements). *Several years' experience in the automotive sector. *Be based on-site in South East England for five working days per week. Key Skills *Strong understanding of multiple automotive systems functionality and features. *Systems engineering. *Systems design methods, e.g. requirements capture and functional testing. *Creation of test specifications for; own tasks, colleagues and external teams. *Generation of test specification reports and design verification methods. *Ability to present clear and concise technical information. *Ability to communicate at all levels within the company. *Strong team player with ability to flex and adapt to support colleagues. *Knowledge of powertrain integration, sensors, actuators and diagnostics an advantage. *Knowledge of embedded software development an advantage. *Knowledge of vehicle production processes and systems an advantage. Key Skills *Vehicle systems integration. *Working with prototype vehicles / 'Lab Car' / HiL systems. *Vehicle networks. *Knowledge and application of requirements management principles. *Automotive design quality processes (e.g. ISO26262, Automotive SPICE, etc.). *Tools for vehicle systems data collection and analysis, e.g. CANape, CANoe, INCA.
