Development Engineers x 10 EKES is a Tier 1 Approved Consultancy to Rolls-Royce and has for a number of years undertaken a broad range of Design, Analysis and Development Engineering Solutions. Now part of Belcan LLC we employ 11,000 over 70 locations globally. The continued success of the Civil Aerospace industry has resulted in an unprecedented number of Engine development programmes running alongside Civil Technology Programmes. This has resulted in the creation of a large number of new and exciting opportunities for Development Engineers, aligned to our Systems Engineering and Development Function based both at our Glasgow and Derby offices. Development Engineering plan structured verification programmes, support the build, test and strip of experimental engines, and ensure the acquisition of validated data. This data is used to complete the verification of the engine design and certify that the product meets its specification, regulatory requirements and Airframer requirements. Development Engineering must also support the Flight Test campaigns by working alongside the respective Airframer to integrate the engine with their Airframes. Key requirements: - Compile and maintain validation and verification packages to ensure their compliance with specification, adherence to safety regulations and effectiveness for production release and subsequent entry into service. - You will be involved in all aspects of testing Gas Turbine engines in order to demonstrate compliance in an efficient and cost effective manner in accordance with the Engine Development Programme. - Ensure that efficient and effective means to gather test evidence are planned and available, that experiments are effectively managed, and that quality data to support design, certification and maturity is available as necessary to support the flight test campaign and the certification plan whilst troubleshooting technical problems independently. - Maintain detailed engine maturity records and feed back through the Development maturity process. - You will maintain detailed engine maturity records and feedback through the Development maturity process. Applications: - Applications are eagerly sought from candidates sought educated to degree level in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, who have a strong knowledge of development processes such as Test, Validation and Certification. - Ideally you will have sound Engine / Gas Turbine knowledge and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment, however candidates with relevant OEM Development experience from other industries may also be considered. - These role provides a fantastic opportunity for cross disciplinary working both internally and externally.
