Our talented engineers are constantly developing new ways to improve the efficiency of rolling stock. You will be working with them to help the efficient planning for long and short term overhaul projects and routine maintenance plans for our Southampton and Acton depots. The challenge You will work with internal teams including production and IT to form long and short term maintenance plans in line with customer requirements. You will use data produced by our internal maintenance management systems to create tracking tools within excel, able to track maintenance and overhaul works needed to ensure effective planning across fleets. You will: - Provide planning support both medium and long term, to support both the depot production and overhaul departments, ensuring a balanced work load and resource availability, maintenance integrity and quality of data held within our internal systems. - Interrogate Maintenance Management System to ensure that documents and reports are kept up to date and all components are within certification. - Strategically plan material and resources for items due within the 180 day report. - Correct data errors in conjunction with the Maintenance Management System and Materials Team; liaison with all departments to ensure continued compliance. - Complete regular data audits to ensure component exchanges have been correctly entered into the Maintenance Management System. - Compile regular reports for Senior Management to demonstrate maintenance integrity is being managed. Establish, develop and monitor train examination star charts and associated block cards. The candidate Someone with/who: - A passion for engineering and ability to plan engineering works over long and short term periods. - A strong understanding for warranty and ability to demonstrate supplier resolutions on warranty issues. - An ability to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of rolling stock maintenance techniques, implementation and procedures involving IT, planning systems and railway operating systems. - Experience and a keen interest in the use of Excel and an ability to design tracking systems and spreadsheets able to preempt engineering works being required. - Thrives in an international environment and possess excellent communication and English skills both orally and in writing. - Strong communication skills able to work in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
