THE COMPANY: Brewster Pratap are working in partnership with our client to recruit a suitably experienced Communications Executive. The role involves working within internal communications to ensure key messages are sent across the company UK-wide and employees are kept up to date with developments and important news. The role is easily commutable from areas of Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield, Wakefield, Scunthorpe, Goole and surrounding areas. THE JOB: The job of Communications Executive involves working alongside the Communications Manager to offer day to day support to the internal communications team, with a particular focus on safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ). You would be primarily responsible for coordinating regular communications to support the SHEQ strategy, as well as the wider communications strategy. Key Responsibilities include: - Coordinating all SHEQ communications such as reactive emails (red alerts), proactive emails, quarterly newsletters, monthly briefing sheets - Planning and coordinating internal campaigns such as Gas Safety Week and Environment Month - Working with internal and external designers to produce marketing collateral including posters, leaflets, presentations and guidance documents - Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with regional SHEQ and marketing managers - Providing support for internal events such as inductions and training - Ensuring the SHEQ pages of the intranet are up to date and all news articles and documents are uploaded in a timely manner - Managing all SHEQ email inboxes and respond to queries as required - Supporting the Communications Manager with the production and distribution of internal announcements, including emails, newsletters and podcasts - Supporting other departments to communicate internally, including IT, HR, Payroll and Fleet - Supporting the evaluation of internal communications, utilising surveys, analytics and qualitative feedback THE PERSON: To be successful in your application you need to be able to demonstrate strong grammatical accuracy - able to produce high quality written communications and media materials. In addition you will need an appropriate qualification in communications, media studies, PR and/or Journalism, some internal communications experience and preferably within a large organisation. We're looking for someone self-motivated with strong attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and be confident liaising with senior members of staff.
