An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PC & Printer Repair Technician based in Telford, Shropshire on a 6 month fixed term contract. We are looking for any technicians who have some experience in PC & Printer repair but are willing to develop new skills, eager to progress and can demonstrate a career driven attitude. The Repair Technician will have 2 main responsibilities in the role: - To make visual checks and run diagnostics - Determine an appropriate repair process to rectify fault As part of these resposnsibilities your day-to-day work will include but not be limited to: - Participate in hands on training icluding local process, health & safety and how to test and use tools to identify faults.Working alongside a senior engineer you will recieve training so you can partake in the following day to day tasks: - Visually inspect for verification and physical defects. - Initial test to isolate and identify faults using diagnostic software and test equipment. - Determine an appropriate repair process to rectify fault - Obtain required replacement spares for repairs from stock / order using spares requisition documentation replacement parts not immediately available form stock. - Ensure repair process complies with procedures - Ensure accurate and legible completion of all documentation relating to repairs, parts and stock - Provide excellent repair quality and carry out a preventive maintenance in order increasing the reliability of the products - Follows up with customers to ensure problems are solved Essential Skills: - Be able to work as an individual or within team with minimum supervision. - Good knowledge or experience in diagnosing deskjet or laser printer hardware faults to module level - Achieve and exceed repair productivity targets as defined by workshop supervisor. - Maintain a tidy work area and good housekeeping standards.
