Calling all Credit Control Managers! Are you currently looking for a new opportunity leading and managing a small but highly successful team? We are working on behalf of a leading FMCG organisation who are looking for a full-time Credit Control Manager on a permanent basis paying up to £35,000. Managerial responsibilities: - Develop, implement and maintain effective and professional Credit Control system - Review procedures and develop and implement enhancements - Set SLA's for the team - cash allocation / credit notes / statements / new accounts - To set and monitor cash targets and produce weekly reports - As well as act as Department head also play an active role as a team member for certain sales ledger accounts - Ability to stop the supply of goods and services to overdue accounts - Prepare files for the transfer of certain debt to external debt recovery and legal recourse - Ensure all accounting transactions are compliant with Company procedure and HMRC - Ensure month/quarter / year end procedures are completed within timescales - Take responsibility to ensure that cash receipts are noted on company bank statements appropriately cleared down and dealt with by the Credit Control Team. - Monitor data integrity of the database - Chair regular meetings with the credit control team in order to ensure all orders are being met - Work with the sales team to gain their help where necessary on potential bad debt in order for Area Sales to visit delinquent accounts Duties as a team member: - Manage the outstanding sales ledger balances - Contact customers before balances become overdue to confirm payments - Have an understanding of company accounts in order to manage, set and monitor customer credit limits - Handle disputed bills and negotiate resolution, bring any important matters to the attention of the Financial Controller. Propose write-off of irrecoverable amounts. - Respond promptly and completely to both external and internal customers - Post payments to accounts - Undertake account reconciliations Desirable skills - Advanced knowledge of Excel - Excellent numeracy and accuracy skills - Previous experience managing a team If you have the right experience for this role and would like to apply then please email me your CV without delay!
