Service Engineer Our Client is a worldwide electronics manufacturer who specialise in the supply of specialist power solutions and they are seeking a field based Service Engineer to join their growing team within the South East, UK. Purpose of the position * Commissioning of new products * Servicing & troubleshooting of installed product Service Engineer Key Responsibilities Commissioning of new products * Apply installation & commissioning procedures on site * Test according to customer requirements following the prescribed method statement * Customise settings of UPS installations according to the environment * Update CIMSA and CIMeTECH databases Servicing & troubleshooting of installed product * Troubleshooting of all installed company equipment, diagnostic of installations * Execute curative maintenance operations * Diagnose installations * Provide feed-back on recurrent problems to Technical Operational Support (TOS) * Servicing: execute preventive maintenance operations as per company specifications (replacement of usable components) Service Engineer Customer and distributor training * Run training sessions * Customer: Provide basic information on daily use of the machine * Liaise with customers (grow a sustainable relationship). * Distributor: Increase technical level of distributor through training * Additional tasks as required in line with department/company strategic goals KPI * Respect of own and others' safety (wear Personal Protection Equipment & personal attitudes towards risk prevention) * Efficiency of interventions * Accuracy of spare parts stock information * Control of H72 escalation procedure * Local UPS database and reporting to Technical Operational Support (TOS) * Management of conflict or tensions with customers Service Engineer Education & background required * Technical degree in electrical engineering * Good communication and commercial skills when in front of customers Details * Working hours 37.5 hours Monday to Friday (8:30am - 17:00pm) * Overtime available
