The four pillars of this global operating model are: - Aviva Finance Markets (AFM): a commercial team who will be a co-pilot to the market CEOs and business leadership teams. - Aviva Finance Operations (AFO): a highly effective and agile team managing resources and providing excellent services to the rest of our function. - Aviva Finance Technical (AFT): a team of Finance experts who will leverage our global technical expertise in areas like investments, tax, hedging, re-insurance and actuarial advisory to provide "solutions" which are consistent across Finance. - Aviva Finance Corporate (AFC): an insight-oriented team who will own headquarter functions such as Investor Relations, Capital Allocation, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Mergers & Acquisitions The Team This role is part of the Aviva Finance Operations (AFO) team: a highly effective and agile team managing resources and providing service excellence to the rest of Aviva's Finance function. This team, under the leadership of our global process owners, will be responsible for our core global Finance operational and reporting production processes. The AFO Financial Reporting team generates the IFRS financial statements and notes, Solvency II QRTs and narrative reports. In addition, it runs the Group consolidation process and produces analysis reports. The Person Responsibility for the delivery of relevant statutory accounts, management accounts (as required), Group IFRS and regulatory submissions in connection with AGC entities. Including organisation & management of offshore resource, and management of all internal & external stakeholders Duties & Responsibilities - Delivery of financial statements, narrative reports and analysis to AFC within agreed timelines. - Submission of QRTs to regulators on a timely basis. - Managing the AFO Reporting team and their deliverables, including end-end review. - Management of interactions with key stakeholders, including External Reporting and Technical teams. - Lead the team through change as required. - Role model and promoter of Aviva values Collaboration with business units at similar levels. - Interaction and collaboration with other AFO teams, AFC and AFT. - Working closely with Financial systems team. - Working closely with Investment Asset Data team. - Influencing and active management of stakeholders at higher levels. - Managing the AFO Reporting team and their deliverables, including end-end review. - Management of interactions with key stakeholders, including External Reporting and Technical teams. - Lead the team through change as required. - Role model and promoter of Aviva values. - c6 direct reports. - Day to day operational management of the team. - Issues resolution. - Owners of Finance systems. - Responsible for team budget. - Management of offshore support team. Skills & Experience required Qualifications: - Degree level or equivalent. - Qualified Accountant. Skills/Knowledge: - Ability to identify and mitigate issues or risks and know when to escalate. - Ability to identify problems and resolve these or escalate as appropriate. - Delivery of financial statements, narrative reports and analysis to AFC within agreed timelines. - Strong financial or regulatory reporting experience. - Strong financial/regulatory reporting and accounting skills. Experience: - Delivery of financial statements, narrative reports and analysis to AFC within agreed timelines. - Strong financial or regulatory reporting experience. - Strong financial/regulatory reporting and accounting skills. - Qualified accountant: 10+ PQE. - Expert stakeholder management. - Attention to detail. - Proactive. - Expert analytical review skills. - Expert communication skills - Ability to communicate across all levels and across different geographies.
