Role Description This is a diverse and challenging role with the Workplace Savings and Benefits area of Aviva's Pensions and Investment business channel. Here, you will have the opportunity to deal with a number of Aviva's corporate client relationships. You will be joining a team of 4 people based in our Bristol site, all of whom report directly into the Executive Distribution Manager. This is a new team so you will have the opportunity to help shape our approach and strategy. As a Client Relationship Consultant you will be responsible for managing a panel comprising some of Aviva's corporate pension's clients. This is predominantly a telephone based employer-facing role where you will be dealing with a combination of customers who deal directly with Aviva, and those that engage with us through intermediaries. The employers on your panel could be based throughout the country and because of the nature of the role you will be office based. In a period of unprecedented legislative and market change, the retention of our most valuable corporate clients is a key priority for Aviva. The role is a Band C and the starting salary will reflect this, in addition there will be the opportunity to earn an additional sales related/KPI driven bonus. Key Responsibilities Your primary objectives will be to: - Retain your clients' Aviva group pension schemes through a period of unprecedented legislative and market change. - Deliver the growth and income targets from your designated employer panel. - Comprehensively project-manage these client relationships by being the "go to" person for all Aviva-related enquiries. - Keep clients fully up to date with legislative and market developments, including Aviva proposition enhancements. - Broaden your clients' Aviva proposition by looking for cross-selling opportunities. - Spot consultancy opportunities to generate additional revenue from your clients - for example selling the services of our Financial Education Team. - Capitalise on our TCC composite model by generating leads for other Aviva teams, including Group Risk, Healthcare and GI. - Support key pitches with the aim to secure client retention. - Drive greater efficiencies around existing processes ensuring Aviva resources are deployed to deliver the most value for the business. - Where appropriate represent Aviva at Scheme Governance Meetings where you can competenly present on Aviva funds and review performance against objectives. Essential Knowledge and Skills Completion of or progression towards appropriate, relevant professional qualifications such as R08 will be actively encouraged and supported. Additionally, the successful candidate will possess the following qualities and skills: - Strong influencer and negotiator with well developed communication & facilitation skills and the ability to present Aviva credentials to a senior level audience. - Previous experience on the workplace pension benefit market. - Ability to develop professional relationships with internal and external customers. - Self-starter with high level of personal organisation, attention to detail, assertiveness, tenacity and integrity, able to work off their own initiative and identify requirements. - Knowledgeable about competitor activity in the Financial Services marketplace and the distributor value chain e.g. business strategy, key drivers, and key influencers. - Ability to manage delivery. - Analytical skills to identify business opportunities. - Ability to identify and maximise cross-sell opportunities. - An ability to not only solve but spot problems before they arise. Also adept at objection handling and able to articulate a counter view with impact. - Display strong team working ethic, sharing ideas and best.
