Healthcare Assistant - Dorset BH22 Our clients care home is a comprehensively equipped 29 bed private residential care home serving Dorset and surrounding areas. They Cater for those who suffer with Dementia but are not a Dementia specialist. The care home is dedicated to the provision of the finest care for its residents. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Care Assistants to join the Team What you will be doing As a Care Assistant you will be, taking responsibility for the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of our residents. Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals. Generally promoting our resident's independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care. Helping to maintain accurate records, undertaking ongoing training. What you will need - Ideally have a formal care qualification such as an NVQ Level 2 or be prepared to work towards one - Reliable & Flexible - Experience of care work (ideal but not essential) - Excellent communication skills - A belief in giving your personal best at all times and striving for continuous improvement and for always putting our residents needs first. - The ability to cope with change and ability to cope with pressure - willingness to undertake any aspects of care or non-care duties - Good attitude - Respectful and Courteous - Cheerful & Positive - Caring & Considerate - Good verbal and written communication skills - Willing to undergo training and supervision The position is Full Time, up to 36 hours per week. the suitable candidate will be required to work every other weekend and preferably be a car owner. Pay starts at £7.65 per hour Successful applicants will need to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide two satisfactory references, one of which must be from your most recent employer.
