Products are made in-house, as well as sourced externally, and are extensively tested. Job Description Reports to: IT Helpdesk Manager Job purpose: To provide basic support and IT equipment to staff Duties/ Responsibilities - Receiving/Logging and managing incidents in Service Desk - Provide basic support for Windows PCs/laptops and telephones. - Use problem solving skills to fix IT software and hardware - Escalating incidents to relevant 2nd Line support teams - Deploy IT equipment to staff to provide new functionality and replace end of life items. - Plan and implement tasks related to the provisioning of new IT equipment to staff. - Educate staff in how to use new technologies - Maintain and produce documentation and "How To" guides Qualities / essential requirements Personable: - Open and honest - Excellent communication skills - Good problem solving skills - Logical - Focused and driven - Circumstances - Experience - Passion for IT and proven customer services skills Skills required: - Understanding of Office products - Ability to clearly communicate technical problems - Work well under pressure and to deadlines - Understanding of Windows 7/10 preferred but not essential - Understanding of Office products - Ability to clearly communicate technical problems - Work well under pressure and to deadlines - Basic understanding of networking - Previous experience of working with others or on your own - Experience of other IT equipment (Phones, Printers etc) Desired Qualifications A-Levels or equivalent level of qualification Other information Hours - Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm Salary - £14,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience Important Information "QA's apprenticeship programmes may be funded in part by the European Union through the European Social Fund, which supports the development of employment opportunities and a skilled workforce."
