Role Overview: To act on behalf of MGJV to monitor compliance with the procedural requirements for quality assurance matters with regard to construction delivery and to support the implementation and development of the Business Management System (BMS). Key Responsibilities: Health Safety and Environment : Safety is the cornerstone of GTSWP / MGJV strategy - Recognise that Health and Safety considerations are central to all tasks and contribute to ensuring safe working environment for all - Support the implementation of a positive quality culture - Understand and implement the Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and Targets - Ensure compliance as appropriate, with the processes contained within the MGJV Business Management System - Suggest improvements to the GTSWP / MGJV BMS when they become apparent - Ensure that the construction activities comply with the requirements of EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards - Monitor, review and update procedures as required in consultation with the Quality Manager - Support the team as needed in the improvement of procedures, forms and guidance as needed in delivery - Champion the BMS and re-enforce the use of BMS throughout the business in a 'business as usual' state - Liaise with Southern Water Asset Life Cycle Process (ALP) Team to ensure a practical level of alignment to the Southern Water (ALP) - Provide assistance and advice to Site Managers and Department Managers on implementation of the processes and data structure - Ongoing mentoring of team members on all areas of BMS - Maintain and implement an audit programme to cover construction projects in line with industry best practice, Southern Water Specifications and standards and the requirements of ALP - Maintain and implement an audit programme of departments in accordance with the agreed frequency, ensuring that all procedures are audited at least once per year and report on progress against the programme - Promote and capture best practice during audits - Report to Management on the level of compliance with planned arrangements and the effectiveness of the management systems (HSEQ) - Communicate internally on the outcome of audits and management systems review - Promote customer focus through quality systems inductions Experience and Qualifications: To be considered for this role you will have previous, relevant experience - Proven Audit Skills (Lead Auditor status preferred) - Bright demeanour - Good communication skills - Excellent IT skills - experience of using PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Visio - Use of Internet and Document Management Systems - Organised and structured approach - Ability to work to tight deadlines In Return: We offer an opportunity to work on some of the UK's most exciting construction projects, in a fast paced environment where each day brings new challenges as well as a competitive salary and benefits package.
