Job description: Start with 4 weeks Training at our QA Learning Centre in Reading receiving coaching in Employability and interview skills, Maths and English Functional Skills (If needed) and also IT training. Then it will be 3 weeks work experience . Cisco is offering a fantastic opportunity to give you the experience and confidence to start a career in Technology, Business or Marketing. Main Responsibilities During the 12 weeks you will gain 3 weeks work experience with a company called Cisco. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain great work experience within a professional company where you can learn the different skills within Business Administration role, with the potential of gaining an Apprenticeship after. At Cisco we want to help you to reach your full potential and progress into a career. The work placement will offer you skills in: - Networking - Cyber Security - Project Management - Presentation Development - Interview & Other Employability Skills - Teamwork You will also have the opportunity to shadow and support various departments within the business. Then you will return to our QA Learning Centre in Reading for a further 4 weeks to complete training. Qualities/ requirements Job Requirements and prospects Desired skills - Able to communicate with people in a polite and professional manner at all times Personal qualities - Be passionate, enthusiastic and show a willingness and hunger to learn Qualifications required - No formal qualifications required but an interest to learn new skills and an interest in IT Things to consider - You must be able to travel Reading for the classroom training. The 3-week work placement with Cisco will be based across the Feltham and Reading offices, so you must be willing to travel to both sites. Both offices are served by public transport and onsite parking is available. - Travel expenses are paid for through a bursary. Qualifications gained City & Guilds Level 1 Award in IT Systems Support Functional Skills English & Maths (if not already achieved GCSE A*-C or Functional Skills Level 2) Potential of gaining an Apprenticeship or Full time work after. Other Important Information Hours per week - 9.00am-5.00pm We are looking for passionate individuals that wants to build a career within an IT, Business Admin and Digital Marketing role for a company, as part of our Traineeships Programme. Our 12 week Traineeships is an education and training programme with work experience that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core are work preparation training, English and Maths for those who need it, and a high quality work experience placement. A Traineeships will help you unlock your great potential and give you the work preparation training, maths and English and work experience needed to get an Apprenticeship or full time work. This Traineeships Opportunity is unwaged. Are you eligible? 1. Are you currently not in a job with little or no work experience? 2. Are you aged 16 to 18 and qualified below Level 3 (A level) or aged 19 to 24 and not yet achieved a Level 2 (5 GCSE's at grade C including maths and English)?
