About the client Our client are a manufacturing business that specialise in precision fabrications and assemblies. Job Purpose: To manage the Quality Engineering, Systems, Audit, Inspection, Metrology and NDT Functions Knowledge of Aerospace essential Interim Quality Manager - Aerospace Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Maintain the company approval scope including ISO9001/AS9100, and customer requirements and host all relevant external audit activity - Develop and implement systems and procedures as necessary in order to maintain continued functional compliance, and shall be afforded the power of veto as necessary - Develop and participate in activities that improve the 'customer experience' - Be responsible for the control, distribution and traceability of all manufacturing documentation - Create, maintain and execute an internal/external audit program considering both internal functions and supply chain - Provide a 'Quality Thinking' approach to support production and transactional processes - Create and Maintain dynamic KPIs to measure internal and supply chain process performance and produce and present a monthly 'Quality Pack' to Senior Management and Customers - Maintain the company calibration register for all equipment, tooling and gauging - Provide Monitoring and Governance of company Non Conformance (inc Yield and Right First Time (RFT) strategies) whilst also providing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) facilitation. - Apply Industrial process control tools (Process mapping, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans, DCM, FVRA) where applicable - Provide input to help other functions on product validation processes FAI & PPAP - Own, Lead or sponsor company projects/initiatives - Be responsible for the Quality team performance, appraisal and conduct - Understand and work within all Company policies
