Installation Engineer - Telecoms / Electronics / Tracking Southampton - UK travel Salary TBD RESPONSIBLE FOR: You will be responsible for providing high quality customer support. You will be the first point of contact for engineering and technical support calls. You will be required to carry out administrative tasks to assist with customer enquiries. You will be responsible for executing customer orders. The role involves communicating directly with customers and working closely with all other individuals in the business. Your role will require regular external training and working on customer sites. Your core role will require you to work anywhere in the country and in some cases you maybe required to be away from home up to 4 nights per week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Educating yourself and with FS support with the latest engineering techniques to enable you to Install vehicle tracking systems into various vehicles. Install forward facing cameras into various vehicles. Install multi camera systems into various vehicles. Deliver customer training on how to work our systems. Repair and maintain two way radios and systems Program and set up two way radio systems both temporary and permanent structures Trbonet Dispatch Support and Training - Managing new and existing customer relationships - Logging and carrying our regular maintenance to customer systems. - Setting up webinar and face to face customer training - Daily checks on customers equipment to give proactive support - Liasing and managing subcontractors to deliver multiple projects - Internal Technical Support when required Essential Skills - Auto electrician qualification - Extremely organised and professional - Excellent team player - Self-motivated, aware and proactive - Communicating and resolving customers support requirements - Articulate and excellent telephone manner - Ability to manage customer and colleague expectations - Keen eye for attention to detail - Hold excellent organisational skills - Excellent Customer liaison skills - ICT literate with Microsoft Office - Hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both written and oral - Excellent Team Working Skills - Organisational ability and time management skills - Have the ability to be a self-starter - Objectives and Task Driven - Ability to manage internal and external expectations - Ability to work on multiple projects to challenging deadlines - Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities - Ability to keep calm under pressure - Ability to make informed decisions Desirable Skills - Educated to GCSE Level C or equivalent in 5 subjects including maths and English - Electrical Engineering qualification BTEC or HNC For more information please contact John Paul at Protec Technical Ltd.
