Sue Ross Legal are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Cashier on behalf of our client, a well-regarded, regional firm of Solicitors. You will be joining a team of five other cashiers and will be supporting all departments across the practice. The role will be predominately based in Leeds however travel to other branches may be required. You will have an understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and be able to demonstrate previous experience in bank payments, receipts & reconciliations, billing, an understanding of purchase ledger and nominal ledger. Duties will include; * Ensuring compliance with the SAR, Money Laundering Regulations and VAT requirements in all aspects of the role * Bill processing * Conducting daily banking duties * Using on line banking to process payments * High volume bank reconciliation * Distribution and reconciliation of petty cash * Monitoring incoming and outgoing bank credit payments * Performing interest calculations & posting them onto the system You should be a team player who can display excellent organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure and strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of the Envision Practice Management system would be an advantage.
