BBI Solutions is a leading expert in immunoassay development and manufacturing services, and provides an extensive portfolio of products and technologies to the global diagnostic and pharmaceutical markets.

We are currently progressing through a period of substantial growth as an organisation, and have the requirement to recruit a QA Associate on a temporary 6 month fixed term contract. This role will initially be based from our Blaenavon site, but will move to our brand new Global Centre of Excellence in Crumlin, by early 2018.

The Role

The QA Associate is responsible for contributing to the running of the QA department. The QA associate is involved in all aspects of the department from product release to non-conformances to assisting with projects as a QA SME. The QA associate has a good overview of QA processes and can converse with other departments to resolve issues as and when they arise. To ensure continuous production/service consistent with established standards and compliance with ISO, EU and associated regulatory requirements and company objectives within scope of role.

Duties to include:

    Ensure products scheduled to be released are batch record reviewed and released on the ERP system in a timely manner.Act as SME and provide guidance to other departments on the completion of all quality documentation (e.g. non-conformances, CAPAs etc).Deputise the QA Team Leader in attendance and maintenance of production meetings and schedules.Logging, review and approval of non-conformances, CAPAs, Deviations, Complaints, Change Controls and other quality documentation.Training of other departments/new members of staff as and when required.Assistance in general activities around the running of the department such as chairing of meetings, writing of minutes, spreadsheet maintenance etc.Support cross functional and R&D projects as a QA SME.Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the QA department.
  • Assit in any internal and external audits as and when required

The Person

To be successful in the role, you will need to have worked in a QA role at a manufacturing company. Ideally you will have had exposure to lean techniques and medical quality derivatives (ISO13485).

You will be preferably educated to degree level in a scientific subject and have had experience as an Auditor (ideally Lead).

You will need to have strong attention to detail, organisation skills and be comfortable using Microsoft Office packages and ERP systems.
