We are looking for several experienced Design Engineers to join a busy engineering team focussing on NPD. Responsibilities include:

·Working as part of a close knit team on NPD and some EPD projects.

·Providing engineering expertise to various departments.

·Utilising CAD packages to generate models of components and completing detailed drawings to document the model.

·Record maintenance.

·Working with other departments to develop innovative and workable solutions.

· Co-ordinating design, development, and manufacturing engineering activities.

Candidates will have experience designing medical devices in a commercial environment. Experience with mechanical design is essential but some experience in electronics and pneumatics would be advantageous. Candidates will ideally be graduated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Other important skills and experience include:

·Thorough understanding of engineering drawings.

·Proficient in use of Microsoft - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.

·Working knowledge of CREO/ProE

·Ability to work on own initiative

·Able to lead projects independently and as a team

·A good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

·Good communication and presentation skills

·Experience producing assembly instructions and BOMS

·Good team player and willing to go the extra mile and provide support through extra hours when necessary

·Able to produce a photo-realistic renders and drawings

·Skilled usage of CAD packages such as Solidworks, Inventor, Nx, Catia

·Working with sheet metal and fabrication design

·Producing Finite Element analysis (FEA) reports.

·Surface modelling

·CAM experience

·Full UK driving license
