The Education Specialists (TES) are recruiting on behalf of a Sixth form college based in the Tameside area. The college has a reputation for excellence and has high expectations of both its students and staff.

We are seeking a teacher who has experience teaching one or more of the following subjects;

Sociology-BTEC and A Level

Criminology-BTEC and A Level

Religious Studies-A level

The college can be flexible offering a full time role or a part time role dependent on individual skills and teaching experience.

The role would ideally suit an individual who is keen to secure a role in an established college and to work as part of a successful teaching team.

Candidate will be required to work in partnership with other members of the department to contribute to the overall success of the students.

Candidates will be responsible for;

  • Planning and delivering of engaging/motivational lessons
  • Assessment of students
  • Course work support and moderation
  • Report writing
  • Direction of teaching assistants/learning support
  • Attendance at meeting as required
  • Classroom/Behaviour management/Safeguarding in line with college policies and procedures
  • Candidates must be able to fully commit to the role which commences immediately.

    Candidates will be required to hold an enhanced DBS disclosure and will be subject to safeguarding checks.
