Exciting and growing company based in Hemel Hempstead is looking for some one with Compliance and office procedures experience for a full time position. Based around office hours there may be some flexibility. The Compliance Officer oversees the organisation’s corporate compliance program, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the company. The Compliance Officer ensures all staff fully compliant with the rules and regulations of all relevant, regulatory bodies, that company policies and procedures are being followed and that behaviour in the organisation meets the company’s Standards of Conduct.

They will be responsible for:-

  • ISO Certification, Data Protection, GDPR preparation, Government Compliance Certs
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
  • Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
  • Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
  • Conduct environmental audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
  • Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.
  • File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as a confidential point of contact for employees to communicate with management, seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or report irregularities.
  • Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.
  • Advise internal management or business partners on the implementation or operation of compliance programs.
  • Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures.
  • Provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews.
  • Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress.
  • Monitor compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organisational processes.
  • Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards.
  • Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures including any health and safety procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
