Our client is a professional services organisation, they are looking for a Compliance Manager who will be responsible for regulatory compliance (FSA, OFCOM, CSA) within their debt recovery department. The role requires strong FCA experience and will be client facing, looking at the needs of the clients and dealing with any complaints.

Principle Responsibilities:

·Assisting the Head of Risk and Compliance in providing urgent technical advice to staff on queries relating to anti-money laundering, conflicts and other compliance issues

·Ensuring that monthly and quarterly audits are carried out in line with the Compliance plan

·Conducting audits to target areas of concern and areas such as client due diligence

·Overseeing the delivery of the monthly compliance dashboard report so that key trends can be seen

·Working with other Managers’ to ensure there is effective supervision of matters which are High Risk

·Ensuring all information required by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is supplied in the correct timescales and that that all compliance obligations have been met

·Manage any complaints and ensure appropriate responses are delivered in the appropriate timescale

·Monitor all policies within the debt team to ensure they are meeting the correct standards

·Maintaining a data protection register for all breaches, requests for information and requests to delete information and ensure those policies are data protection compliant

·Ensure all legislative and regulatory changes are assessed and implemented.

·Deliver accurate Management Information to clients, suppliers and stakeholders

Skills required:

·2-3 years’ experience working in compliance either in SRA or FCA environment

·Knowledge of SRA regulations and FCA and anti-money laundering regulations would be an advantage

·Experience in providing auditing and qualitative and quantitative reports

·Ability to work flexibly and quickly to respond to risks and compliance queries as they arise

·Positive communicator that speaks with authority

·Excellent client relationship and people management skills

·Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at all levels

·High attention to detail – organisational skills

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·Strong IT skills
