The Copthorne Hotel Newcastle is seeking an experienced Financial Controller who will play a business critical role in leading the finance team within the hotel. You must be a team player with the ability to inspire and influence across all levels and be a pro-active self-starter with confidence and maturity.

This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President Finance, with a dotted line to the General Manager and requires a confident person with good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.

You will be responsible for all hotel accounting and financial controls with particular emphasis on financial analysis and advice, seeking to drive through improvements in financial performance and control for the hotel. You will also be responsible for providing functional guidance to hotel management.

You will also provide a complete, timely and accurate financial reporting function to Head Office, and ensure the integrity of financial, administrative and legal controls throughout the hotel’s operations in accordance with MHR Group policy and procedures.
