Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior/Principal RF Hardware Engineer to join a radar receiver development team in Edinburgh. The receiver team is a multi-disciplinary expert team specialising in the design and development of high performance radar receiver sub-systems areas.
About the role
You will work within a receiver development team and will be responsible for the engineering and technical aspects of RF and/or receiver circuits and systems.
Qualifications
Ideally you will possess a degree in Electronic Engineering or related science (e.g. Physics) with specialism in high frequency circuits and receiver techniques supported by appropriate fundamental elements. Relevant experience will also be considered.
Knowledge
You will have experience at a senior engineer level in design of RF/Microwave circuits and sub-systems or be ready to take the next step into this role.
Tools
You should be familiar with current industry standard ECAD tools. We are particularly seeking has expert knowledge in Agilent ADS, AWR Microwave office, Agilent system Vue or Matlab/Simulink.

Working Environment
This is mainly an office based role using display screen equipment but you will also work in a development lab and occasionally in a production area in a clean room environment. Working to tight deadlines either on a regular or ad hoc basis will be required. Occasional travel within the UK and abroad with overnight stays may be required.
The nature of the tasks involved means that any candidate being considered for the position must be capable of achieving full SC security clearance and in addition the candidate will require access to caveated information such as UK eyes only and ITAR.
