As Accounting Technician you will provide general accounting support to the Finance team and department function, including:
Assist with the monitoring and reporting of the business performance and key metrics for management, identify performance variances and enable improvement activitiesMonitoring spending, costs and budget details
Provide support and administration to ensure timely and accurate payment of accounts for both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.Administration of all aspects of the Accounts Receivable function to ensure prompt Sales Invoicing and Customer focus.Administration of the Credit Control function to ensure efficient cash-flow.Assist the Assistant Accountant with of all aspects of the Accounts Payable function including matching and coding of invoices, reconciling supplier statements and Investigating and resolving queries.Preparation of returns to government agencies in relation to VAT, Intrastat and EU Sales Listings.Assist with the financial period-end and ongoing processes providing detailed data reconciliation schedules to support the process resulting in accurate and timely production of Management Accounts.Preparations of the payment run submissions.Inter-company reconciliations and prompt resolution of disputes.Management of employee expense claims.Assisting with ad hoc tasks as they arise to assist other departments and the finance department.Provide absence cover for the company’s reception function.Your Qualifications:Part or full AAT qualification - willing to or already studying towards ACCAExcellent inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate well.Experience with VAT and Intrastat returns.MRP and Microsoft Office Suite skills.Strong attention to detail
