JOB PROFILE: National Account Controller- Scotland and Wholesale REPORTS TO: National Key Account Director
Purpose Statement
To develop and deliver a channel/customer strategy in line with Brakes Group aims and goals. To achieve and exceed channel/customer budgeted sales and margin targets via team. To recruit, train, develop and manage Key Account Managers, cross-functional teams to establish strong relationships with Senior Management across customer base
Key Responsibilities & Objectives
To Achieve & Exceed Sales & Margin Targets across all categories within given Customer/Channel, by effective management, development, motivation and control of Cross Functional team to;
• Develop regional key account strategy plan to exceed budget
• Negotiating, Constructing, Implementing & monitoring trading agreements.
• By minimizing costs to serve, whilst balancing excellence in customer service
• By introduction of new products and services.
• Price reviews which are conducted on time, in full
• Ensure all administrative duties are carried out accurately and on time e.g. reporting
• To Operate Cross Functionally to build Internal & External Business Relationships.
• Successfully understand and communicate the needs of our customers within the Brake Group. (e.g. Purchasing, Marketing, Accounts and Operations)
• Influence all customers at senior levels across their organisation in order to achieve mutual goals.
• To monitor customer/channel sales & margin against budget and to take corrective action when necessary
• To have the ability to monitor customer/channel trends – assist in development of business plans and take necessary action
• To implement or develop business processes which adds value to the Brakes proposition
• Develop own and teams understanding of the specific market sector they work in, its dynamics and supply chain requirements
• Actively monitor ASM/RSM to assist in execution of the business strategy
• To establish Brakes & Group as the first choice for all food temperatures.
• Understand and interpret on a daily business our primary goals
• To introduce and implement effective Customer / Channel Strategies.
• Plan annually and monitor progress versus plan monthly
• Where applicable actively undertake man management activities and develop team to succeed targets
• To jointly own and manage your personal and teams career development with your manager
• Deputise for the Key Account Director as required
• Undertake any other relevant duties
