Front End Web Developer required for an Interesting E-Commerce project
Sofas and Stuff sell high quality, handmade British sofas and beds. We have 12 London and Nationwide sofa stores, combined with an e-commerce site, offering a wide range of Fabrics and Sofa Styles.
The need has arisen within the S&S head office team in Pulborough, West Sussex for a Front End Web Developer.The role is Contract with the option to go Permanent. Competitive salary paid.
The role:The chosen candidate will be working as part of a busy marketing department. Working in a team to implement changes to our e-commerce website. You will work closely with a back-end developer, UX Designer and other members of the Marketing team to deliver front end development.

This role would suit those with a few years experience of front end web development. Must have recent experience delivering front end development on web sites.
Job description:• Your primary role will be front end development CSS, JavaScript, HTML, mainly in a CMS environment. The ability to debug front end Javascript issues is very important.
• You will make sure our websites and web apps look good and are easy to use, turning design layouts into working user-friendly pages, and updating the content management system as required.
• You will work closely with our graphic designer, Head of Digital and the marketing team putting user experience and accessibility at the forefront.

Skills required:• Excellent knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, HTML and media queries for responsive design
• Experience of designing web solutions for multiple devices and creating responsive code
• Knowledge of web standards and accessibility
• Experience of using an eCommerce platform such as Umbraco, Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce or equivalent is desirable but not essential
