My client is seeking a seasoned and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join their engineering team, taking responsibility for developing new features in their Software Development Kit (SDK) and brainstorming and collaborating with their research team to design, implement and test enhancements to their processing pipeline and API.
You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and manage the day to day development priorities including running code reviews. You will have the skills to mentor and support junior talent within the engineering team that have huge growth potential.
The role will include designing and developing enhancements to our SDK, the implementation of Computer Vision algorithms, nit and regression test construction, logging, error handling and instrumentation, code reviews, coding standards and updating/maintaining multi-platform software (CMake-based) builds, contributing to release planning to ensure quality and adherence to deadlines, implementing customer requirements and assisting with deployment of SDK releases, using Confluence to produce comprehensive meeting notes and documentation, participating in the Agile process, generating and maintaining JIRA tickets to optimise planning and tracking of SDK releases.
The ideal candidate will be technology driven and passionate about technology; have well-honed skills in C++ development using QT; have solid understanding of Microsoft Visual Studio and C++ 11; be experienced in Agile development; be able to provide technical support to customers and take appropriate action; have excellent English written and spoken communication skills as well as the ability to document processes and procedures concisely.
Ideally you will have a BSc or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or associated field, together with experience leading teams.
