London

Job ID: R-54938

Full time

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in the Corporate and Speciality Risk team. They are actively recruiting for an Underwriting Manager in the Multinational (Commercial) Underwriting team to be based ideally in London. However, we will consider Norwich as a location.

Aviva's Multinational Team is currently based across 3 locations. Our key main areas of focus are:

- Serving our customers through adherence to service standards and a flexible underwriting approach.
- Investigating and developing new Multinational solutions.
- Regulatory compliance and governance.
- Managing Aviva's global partner network.
- Providing an internal referral service for Commercial Multinational business.
- Internal training on Commercial Multinational business.
- Providing a reverse flow service for our partners' multinational clients. We are a relatively small department of 8 people responsible for a diverse range of activities. Being a part of this team means being willing to take on tasks or investigate opportunities which are sometimes unfamiliar to us.

You are required to manage an effective Non-UK Underwriting referral and reverse flow service. You will be leading and developing new Multinational initiatives as well as ensuring UK and International Regulatory and Tax Compliance.

You'll understand that working within our governance frameworks to make sure we're risk compliant as an organisation is fundamental. You'll be expected to fully understand where our current concentrations of risk lie compared to our aggregate limits and we'll let you know what these are. You will therefore try and avoid adding risks that might cause us to breach those limits without seeking guidance first.

One of Aviva's core values is Care More, and this is brought to life through the flexible ways we like to work. This may include working from home some of the time, or flexible work schedules to accommodate parent and carer responsibilities, further studies and hobbies.

All displaced candidates will be given primacy which means that we will still accept applications from employees who are under notice of redundancy (or have had an outcome from a redundancy selection process which has resulted in a maximum of 6 months' work) after the initial closing date until the position has been offered.
