Support Tutor (Specific Learning Difficulties)

18.5 hours per week over 52 weeks

£23,560 - £35,583

Working for Learner Services as a Support Tutor (Specific Learning Difficulties) you will be working across all areas of the College including the University Centre. You will be supporting students with specific learning difficulties to meet individually negotiated SMART targets and to achieve their qualifications on their chosen courses. You will be supporting students in a variety of contexts: out of class on a one to one basis, in small groups/workshops or in class.

You will possess a PGCE, or other recognised full teaching qualification and have Professional membership (associate or full) of one of the following bodies: PATOSS; BDA; ADSHE; Dyslexia Guild.

GCSE Grade C or Functional Skill Level 2 in both English and Maths (or equivalent) are also essential.

You will have excellent organisational skills and experience of teaching learners with dyslexia / dyspraxia in a further and higher education environment together with experience of using digital technologies to enhance learning.
