Business Initiation Control Analyst
A leading Global Financial Institution is seeking to employ a Business Initiation Control Analyst, based in London.
Hours 35 per week/permanent.
The role holder is committed to provide accurate, reliable and consistent Risk and Valuations data to all downstream consuming processes and systems. The purpose of this role is to support the BAU processes around the controls for establishing the golden source data, ongoing maintenance and publishing the same for consumption into the downstream processes and platforms along with appropriate governance of the end to end process. They will be globally responsible for activities across the whole of Global Markets. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that they compile and publish weekly MI on ageing books and highlighting the exceptions for escalation with the various stakeholders. They will coordinate and chair weekly meeting with Business Manager and stakeholders to review ageing books in the workflow and escalate books which are stuck in the system and to perform monthly maintenance of HMS hierarchy to reflect changes in the published ledger hierarchy such as new desk or sub desks and business line to cost centre mapping. The role holder will perform weekly reconciliation of HMS book population with the Primary Trading Systems booklists, including publishing the MI, to ensure no books are set up outside the work flow and investigate the exceptions. They will compile and distribute quarterly book recertification to support functions (PC, TR, FO etc.) to validate book ownership and FO-BO-CC mapping relationship. The role holder will also review and consolidate the book recertification submission files and remediate/challenge FO-BO-CC mapping issues that have been raised by Product Control. They will also support the reengineering of Book opening and hierarchy management process in all businesses in GBM globally including consistent regional approach.
The successful candidate will be a graduate and will have the following:
- Graduate qualification with proven post-qualification experience preferably in Audit, Product Control or Traded Risk
- Knowledge of Global markets front-to-back system infrastructure with a strong desire and ability to learn quickly
- Experience (desirable) of handling book mapping for cross asset & cross functional requirements
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
