This company is the only independent provider of bed management services to the NHS, managing over 20% of the UK's acute bed and mattress fleet. They supply specialist products and services to over 150 hospitals in the UK and Ireland.

Service is their core business and their products are focused around meeting patient needs in challenging clinical situations. These include ultra low hospital beds, bariatric hospital beds, paediatric cots, pressure redistributing mattresses and a bed transport system.

They pride themselves on the quality of their team, the responsiveness and flexibility of their approach, their track record of improving patient outcomes and their ability to offer a unique service and product offering to their customers.

They are currently seeking to recruit a service technician to join their team based in Birstall, Leicester. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear passion for providing a high level of service and appreciate what that means to the business and end user.

Day to day duties will include:
- To deliver timely and appropriate service to customers
- To keep inventory of products and spare parts
- To ensure implementation of product modifications
- To ensure compliance with quality processes, both internal and external
- Availability for on-call rotations 24 hours x 7 days
- To deliver and install clean and ready for use products to customers
- To collect dirty or failing products from the customers
- To clean, test, and repair products and make ready for use
- To complete & record electrical safety testing on products during tasks
- To provide demonstration and basic training to caregivers
- To order spare parts, single-use goods and management of samples
- To ensure cleanliness of workplace
- To take good care of company vehicle and tools
- To complete daily/ weekly activity reports
- To update relevant IT systems

Qualifications Required:
- Mechanical or electrical background would be desirable.
- Experience within a hospital or caregiving environment would be an advantage
- Electrical safety testing qualification certificate would be an advantage
- Driving licence is essential

Personal Characteristics:
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Knowledge of Medstrom & OEM products would be desirable
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules
- Basic PC skills to include email and MS Office
- DBS Checked
- Ability to work under own initiative, and follow procedures laid out by the business to achieve deadlines
