Vacancy: Engineering Apprentice Assessor

Location: CEMAST, Lee on Solent, Hampshire

Salary: £18,346 - £21,789 per annum

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week - Monday - Friday

Contract Type: Permanent

CEMAST offers brand new state of the art facilities comprising of workshops, teaching classrooms, a learning resource centre and a Starbucks cafe. The successful candidate will be a member of a team of over 300 academic and business support staff. CEMAST is seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated assessor for the Engineering department.

Assessors are expected to manage a case load of candidates taking responsibility for and co-ordinating off site assessment in various Engineering pathways at a range of partner employers in the area. Ability to travel between sites is an essential element of this position. The ideal candidate will possess the following; however, some qualifications could be obtained whilst in post.

  • Teaching qualifications (FE)
  • Assessing qualifications
  • Recent relevant industry experience
  • Experience of effective assessing practices
  • Full driving License
  • Effective administration skills
