The branch in Cradley Heath is leading the way in the Midlands. They supply nationally from a few bars cut to size to large structural components that need to be cut, drilled, shotblasted and primed. Their extensive stockholdings, coupled with their leading-edge on-site processing facilities, means they can meet any requirements, however large or small.

The roles

They are now looking to recruit Warehouse Operatives including Baymen and Saw Operatives to work rotating shifts of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.

The purpose of the Warehouse Operatives are to ensure customers orders are fulfilled to the highest standards working to deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

- General warehouse duties.
- Ensure all documentation is correctly actioned for accuracy of stock.
- Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift trucks and cranes
- Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers orders
- Maintaining high levels of health and safety
- Being adaptable in your approach to work
- Participate in stock taking duties
- Deal with returns
- Pick items from computer generated lists

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be an experienced Warehouse Operative with Saw experience used to working in a flexible, results oriented, team environment. Ideally you will be able to use mobile equipment (FLT, overhead crane) and be able to read written instructions & record accurately work carried out.

Experience in the steel industry preferred but not essential as relevant training will be provided.

You will need a full driving license. These are permanent positions and you must be able to work rotating shifts of 6am-2pm and 2pm - 10pm.

Starting rate would be £7.85 per hour for first 3 months, then £8.20 once successfully completed probation period with up to £150 bonus a month.

Shift allowance paid on afternoons only (£1.40 extra per hour).
