This company is a leader in the transformation of vehicles from internal combustion engines to highly efficient electric drivetrains.

They are a start-up company with a small and friendly team of 38 people. They are growing rapidly on many fronts and offer the opportunity to work in an exciting environment where innovation and creativity are encouraged.

The Procurement Lead role will include the following key responsibilities:

- Take full responsibility of all procurement activities for direct and indirect procurement for both engineering prototypes and production material.
- Lead team of 2 procurement assistants, delegate tasks among team members to order and get right material in right time at right price
- Coordinate actively with engineering, production and sales teams to understand requirements and organize procurement activities.
- Form strong B2B relationships with Suppliers
- Negotiate actively with suppliers achieving optimum price whilst maintaining quality
- Liaise with suppliers in India to procure the right material at best price for production and ensure in time delivery
- Liaise with our Procurement representative in India to coordinate POs, Payments and deliveries of material.
- Responsible for material steering run every week to estimate materials to be ordered for continuous production.
- Organize procurement lists, raise direct and indirect purchase orders
- Manage and maintain Procurement list with pin-point accuracy; update all fields as required
- Check technical drawings, liaise with Quality to make sure supplied parts meet required specifications
- Take ownership to get the BoM cost down without comprising quality.

Skills & Experience:

- Engineering Background/ Degree in related disciplines
- 5-6 yrs Strong Procurement Experience
- Understands engineering drawings
- Strong commercial negotiation skills
- Comfortable dealing with suppliers, both face to face and by telephone
- Confident with innovative problem solving
- Resourceful when researching new suppliers and alternate solutions
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, formulae and applications
- Highly Organised with all aspects of work
- Good with timekeeping and working to tight deadlines
- Fluent English (Speaking, Reading, Writing)
- Knowledge of any Asian languages is a plus, but not essential
- Happy to travel within Europe or Asia when required
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Has strong work ethic, Honesty, Integrity, Accountability
- Acts as a team player but confident to work autonomously
