This is an opportunity for a full or part time Compliance Executive to join a well established financial services company based in Shrewsbury advising on and arranging investment, mortgage and general insurance products for retail clients.

They also provide an Employee Benefits Platform to nationally based clients and are a Lloyds' coverholder issuing a range of health related products to employees.

They operate a team of field Benefit Consultants communicating their Benefits Platform and arranging insurance benefits.

As part of a Compliance team you will report directly to the Compliance & Risk Director.

The role
The role encompasses training, monitoring and compliance administration functions. You will be required to:

- Assist in the development and delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Programme
- Conduct compliance audits in line with the Compliance Monitoring Programme, preparing detailed reports on findings and making recommendations for remedial action.
- Deliver compliance training, both on a 1:1 basis and within group sessions
- Monitor quality MI to assess and identify potential trends in relation to conduct or consumer risks
- Review client feedback and deal with complaints raised by clients in accordance with the FCA Complaints Handling rules.
- Review and approve financial promotions material in accordance with FCA guidelines
- Develop effective training programs on compliance matters and products including appropriate training for new and existing advisers.
- Present compliance issues at our in-house meetings.

You will be required to:
- gain a full understanding of all Company compliance procedures and standards and products.
- operate data management systems to ensure the proper recording and analysis of data.

Specific tasks include:
- Organising and delivering insurance product and compliance training to new Benefit Consultants.
- Assessing new Benefit Consultants have reached the required standard following training through role plays and testing.
- Monitoring the performance of Benefit Consultants through ongoing review of recordings, provide feedback for improvements and remedial training where necessary.
- Review KPIs to identify performance issues and implement appropriate action.
- Regular review of financial advisers files to ensure compliance with Company procedures and standards and suitability of advice.

Key Requirements
- A good technical knowledge across all means of financial planning.
- The ability to research and read FCA regulatory publication and handbook rules.
- An understanding of Anti Money Laundering and Data Protection legislation and regulation
