A leading Global Financial Institution is seeking to employ an Associate (Infrastructure and Real Estate Group) based in London

Hours 35 per week/permanent.

The role holder will assist and provide support to senior bankers within the Infrastructure and Real Estate Group (IRG) team in the origination and execution of ‘event-driven’ transactions, primarily debt advisory, debt restructuring and debt financing. They will support debt advisory focussed on infrastructure clients and structure, and execute leveraged finance and structured financing transactions for corporations, sovereigns, and financial institutions with a focus on infrastructure and project finance, acquisition financing.

The individual will also engage in creating investment banking marketing materials such as pitch books, teasers, information memorandums in the context of debt advisory/financing/structuring.  Furthermore, the individual will carry on tasks such as financial modelling, valuation, benchmarking, profiling, industry analysis in the infrastructure space, and support the team to build debt capacity, leveraged buy-out, and operating models used to sensitize cash flows. They will also support the team in preparing Information memorandums, due diligence and support as required

The role holder will be expected to have knowledge of the he banking and markets environment and demonstrate industry and sector / product knowledge, while keeping the team up to date with matters relating to own field.

The successful candidate will be a graduate and will have the following:

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation, debt advisory, debt structuring and financing
  • Proven experience in developing marketing materials (pitch books), including research.
  • Proven experience with common databases
  • Knowledge of and experience within the infrastructure sector
  • A strong understanding of the financial markets
