This company is delivering a suite of exciting and innovative projects that aim to support co-operative and community enterprise; both in the UK and across Europe. Their portfolio of programmes cover three core areas:
- Co-operative development
- Community shares
- Place based economic development

They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead on the Empowering Places Programme as part of their place-based economic development work.

Empowering Places is a new programme that seeks to reduce poverty and inequality through community business. Funded by Power to Change, Empowering Places aims to accelerate the growth of community business and demonstrate the conditions required for community business to flourish. The Programme is working with seven places within towns and small cities across England, delivered through local organisations in partnership with other stakeholders and the community.

This is an exciting role to lead a flagship place-based programme, working within a dynamic projects team and alongside the project partners - New Economics Foundation and Centre for Local Economic Strategies.

You will be an independent and entrepreneurial doer with a proven track record of being able to work independently on fast-paced initiatives. You will be familiar with a range of project tools and processes, deployed in a flexible and agile way, readily embracing digital technology.

You will have an interest in co-operative and community enterprise, a strong track record of delivering projects within budget and timescales, and experience of delivering initiatives carrying wide stakeholder support.
