Data Analyst/Report Writer

Salary: £23,218 - £26,973 per annum

We are looking for a Data Analyst/Report Writer to create and manage reports related to the main student record system (EBS) and other college databases.

Main duties will include:

  • Utilise SQL queries, spreadsheets, relational databases and other tools to produce a range of appropriate, high quality, statistical and other reports, including commentary analysis to highlight important trends or issues. To import, interrogate and extract data from the College student records system (EBS), funding agency software, databases and other sources by designing and developing data queries
  • Support the College's quality improvement and business monitoring systems and processes by providing timely and accurate datasets and analysis for relevant measures (e.g., KPIs, Learner Recruitment and Funding/Income)
  • Design, update and publish a suite of Microsoft Reporting Services Reports to enable College staff to dynamically query college information system databases (EBS, ProMonitor, ProAchieve) and

It is essential that you hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in English, Maths, a Level 4 Qualification in IT or systems would be desirable along with a relevant MS Office qualification at Level 3, e.g. ECDL or ITQ.
