Based in Bishops Stortford looking for a Part Time / Full Time Bookkeeper / Accounts Clerk. This established, growing local IT company requires an experienced bookkeeper reporting directly to the MD, with responsibilities of all bookkeeping aspects including VAT returns, invoicing and debt collection. The successful candidate will need to work under pressure and on own their initiative.

The company offers PC Support, Hosted Services, Field Services and much more to diverse businesses both locally and throughout the UK. They also have an in-house workshop / shop that has an excellent local reputation with many thousands of satisfied customers.

Although they are a professional IT services company, other than excellent MS Office, no IT skills are required.

The Role:
- Balancing accounts - All aspects of Bookkeeping through Sage Line 50, entering sales and purchase invoices, allocating payments and monthly reconciliation of all accounts and quarterly vat returns.
- Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
- Completing VAT returns
- Checking company bank statements
- Preparing cash flow statements
- Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
- Reporting to the MD and assisting with all admin tasks.
- Liaising with the company's payroll office, orchestrating and checking the payroll before submission.
- Very good MS Office skills required (Word & Excel especially)
- Taking meeting notes and general office admin duties.
- Email marketing

Required Skills:
- Good working knowledge of (Sage Line 50)
- Excellent prioritisation skills
- Efficient and productive
- Ability to work unsupervised while working to a high degree of accuracy.
- Personable with good communication skills
- Understanding of management & HR practices

Required Qualifications:
Min 2 years' experience in similar role

Preferred Additional Qualifications (not Required):
Degree level education, qualifications in bookkeeping / accounts / business admin / management

Hours:
Part Time preferred - Full time available for the right candidate.

Salary:
£18 to £25k depending on skillset and experience pro-rate for part time.
