Come and join one of the UK's leading case management companies based in Salisbury, Wiltshire (SP2). They are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their small finance team working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for a period of 14 months.

This role would suit an individual with proven financial experience and relevant qualifications. The ideal candidate will have experience of invoicing and credit control. An up to date knowledge of SAGE 50 Accounts is essential.

Job Description

Key Tasks:

- To create customer invoices on a monthly basis
- Manage credit control - including monthly statement run and chaser letters
- Assist with the general accounts procedures on a day to day basis

Other Responsibilities:

- To update and maintain the SAGE Account, including but not limited to:
o Enter BACS receipts as necessary
o Entering customer cheques on SAGE and prepare for banking
o Enter supplier invoices on to SAGE
o Process client purchases
- Supplier maintenance, including raising cheques for payment and action
- Assist with the maintenance of the Time Watch system
- To reconcile purchases on company credit cards and reconciliation or client credit card purchases
- To carry out bank reconciliations
- To update and maintain manual and computerised office systems, for example filing papers and maintaining databases, including liaising with external support when necessary, and daily back-ups as necessary
- To undertake general finance duties in line with agreed deadlines and timescales including dealing with post, faxes and e-mails.
- General filing, scanning and archiving, including liaising with relevant external suppliers and contacts as necessary

Person Specification:

- Educated to GCSE standard with a grade C or above in English and Mathematics or equivalent
- Finance/Accounting qualification essential
- Experience of working in a busy Finance office
- Experience of credit control essential
- Organisation skills essential
- Use of Sage 50 Accounts essential
- Excellent and proactive verbal and written communication skills essential
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines essential
- Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook skills
