Mechanical Project Manager
£55,000 to £65,000 plus car / allowance and benefits package
TSP Consulting are recruiting on behalf of a £60 million turn over Building Services contractor who is looking for a mechanically biased Project Manager. Working predominately within the Fast track Commercial Sector and on projects up to £3m, they are looking for an ambitious Project Manager with a drive to succeed and develop their career.
• Management, co-ordination and monitoring of the Design Team, Value Engineering and Contractor Design packages during the Design Development period
• Compilation of both Health & Safety File and Design Plans
• Preparation of supplier and sub-contractor packages
• Audit, validation and placement of orders with suppliers and sub-contractors
• The issue and continuous monitoring of Design, Procurement and installation programmes as well as the Drawing Register, VE, RFI and TQ schedules
• Ensure full project compliance with ER’s and advise Project Director of any deviations (including buildability and interface issues.)
• Ensure Quality Plans for both design and installation are adhered to
• Continuous monitoring of Breeam, EPC and Log Book requirements
• Manage, track and close out of Planning Conditions and Building Control issues in order to ensure satisfactory closure
• Review and monitor of site programmes
• Project Financial Control including Variations
• Production of weekly, fortnightly and monthly (internal and external) reporting systems
• Maintaining daily diary relating to Health & Safety, design and installation processes
• Drawing co-ordination and the installation, commissioning and setting to work of MEP Services
• Chairing meetings face to face with varying different levels of audience both in number and stature including the client

The successful Project Manager would have come from a stable M&E sub contractor background working on commercial fast track Cat A & Cat B fit out projects. It is essential you have at least 4 years UK Experience. You must have a demonstrable experience in Mechanical Project Management. Knowledge of Electrical installations would be an advantage but not necessary.
• C&G/ONC/HNC or BEng/BSc in mechanical engineering or Building Services with suitable Mechanical Experience
• Card Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services would be an advantage
