Our client is a renowned developer who has built up an enviable reputation for the development of high end homes throughout Essex, Hertfordshire and East Anglia. The company prides itself on building beautiful homes, ranging from £400 to £1 million. The company is expanding are now looking to add an assistant / intermediate quantity surveyor to their commercial team. The company offer a great opportunity to work on a varied and interesting portfolio of properties.

This role would suit individuals from either a main contracting or volume house builder who would like to work within a progressive company that has over 50 years of successful trading behind it. The role offers a great opportunity for individual progression within a friendly environment.

ROLE:
• Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work
• Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
• Performing risk and value management and cost control
• Advising on procurement strategy
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
• Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
• Allocating work packages to subcontractors
• Developing the clients brief
• Submitting quotations for project works and producing final statements
• Assisting and advising during the design stage
• Preparation of tender documentation and tender appraisals

CANDIDATE:
• Have good knowledge of building construction and contract documents
• Have at least one years experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Hold a current driving license and have the ability to travel
• Have experience of operating within either the commercial or residential sectors.
