ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENT TEAM LEADER (12 HOUR SHIFT PATTERN - BASINGSTOKE AREA) CIRCA £50K SALARY PLUS BENEFITS - UK LEADING COMPANY.

The Client

Our client is a long established UK headquartered business with. 

As part of their continued growth they are presently seeking an Electrical & Instrument Supervisor to lead a team of technicians on a 12 hour shift pattern.

The Role

Lead a team in the maintenance of electrical, instrument and process control plant and equipment to support the site in meeting its business goals

Responsibilities

- To lead a team of engineers in below activities:

-

To ensure all electrical instrumentation and control equipment operates safely and with maximum efficiency
-

To deal with faults/breakdowns as quickly as possible whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship
-

To calibrate instrumentation and log all meter/instrument readings as required - Complete value added activities

To do running repairs on all equipment and where appropriate take direction for prioritisation from the Process manager
-

Address the root cause of any failure, take the appropriate action to resolve and feedback learning/observations to enable processes to be improved thus preventing future repeat failures

To participate in scheduled planned E&I activities

Work with the Company`s core values and work processes

Ensuring the housekeeping of the work area is maintained to the highest standard.

Carry out all operations by the safest possible manner
-

Adhere to Company policies and procedures as required appertaining to Safety, Personnel, Training, Quality, environment

Essential Skills & Experience Required

Time served / NVQ or above in electrical, instrumentation or electronics (ideally instrument biased)
Experience working in a process environment (paper, oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical etc.) Experience of leading / supervising a team of engineers.
