The role of a Care at Home Assistant involves working closely with service users in the community to ensure they have every opportunity to fulfill their needs and enjoy life. You will promote the physical, social, intellectual and emotional well being of our service users activities in their own homes, whilst promoting their independence and assisting with tasks.

Our client provides a rural service providing care to small villages, you will be expected to travel to provide care to RH16, RH17 & RH18 postal codes- so your own transport is essential

You will be paid £9.10 per hour for weekdays and £11.22 weekend, plus 45p per mile for mileage. Above all, you will be given adequate travel time between each call and you will be given time to spend with the service users. You will receive first class training and DBS will be paid for by our client. This is a permanent job so your hours are guaranteed (so this is not a zero hour’s contract) , full time and part time options available.

Varied duties will include providing assistance with personal care to include medication, social visits and shopping and all aspects of their daily living, as detailed in their person centred care plan. Previous experience for this role is not essential as you will receive on the job support and training. Ideal candidate will be able to communicate and interact well with people, be comfortable working both on their own as well being part of a team. You will need to have empathy and understand the needs of older people. Upon commencement, Care at Home Assistants must be willing to undertake training to achieve NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent. This post is subject to DBS check.
