A well established, ‘OUSTANDING’ fostering agency is currently looking for a new AREA MANAGER to join and help lead their successful staff team based in North East London.
This is an Area Manager position and we are looking for candidate with significant supervisory experience within the fostering sector. Whether you are an experienced manager or a Senior Practitioner looking for a chance to progress into a management position, we would love to hear from you.
Well established across the UK, with an excellent child centred ethos and culture, this organisation prides itself on the quality and support offered to young people in foster placements. With a strong infra structure, they are able to offer strong all round support to both carers and young people, to make sure successful outcomes are achieved.
This organisation is now looking for a passionate and driven manager, who is keen to directly influence the further growth of this service. You will be responsible for managing the social work team and working with Senior Managers to build a strategy around quality carer recruitment and service development.
General responsibilities include:
• Managing and supervising the existing staff team
• Growing the region through effective development of Local Authority relationships
• Growing foster carer numbers through networking and recruitment
• Growing carer numbers and hence the social work team

You will be / have:
• An excellent understanding of current fostering and relevant legislation
• A proven track record of staff management and development
• An HCPC registered qualified social worker
• Be a car owner / driver

You will have previously worked within either an IFA or Local Authority fostering team at management or Senior Practitioner level (with experience of staff support / supervision) .
In return for your skills and passion, we are able to offer a competitive annual salary of between £42,000 - £50,000 plus benefits which includes a generous pension scheme.
