Our client provides quality home care services and is now looking to recruit a Field Care Supervisor.

•Manage and supervise all Branch Support Workers
•Provide appropriate supervision, training and support (including liaison as necessary with the training service)
•To visit and carry out the proper assessment and review of Customer needs to produce the appropriate care plan in line with contract requirements.
•To promote a professional image of the company in dealing with new care packages for Customers and commissioning authorities.
•To assist in the day to day management of area office business, and to facilitate local service delivery

Main duties

The Field Care Supervisor is responsible for such managerial duties as are delegated by the Team Manager. These will include but are not limited to:
•Carrying out visits to customers’ homes to carry out initial Customer Assessments and continuous monitoring
•Risk Assessments
•Start-up, administration and review of new support packages
•Customer Reviews
•Support Worker supervision & support
•Support Worker training (including recommendations for specialist courses)
•Support work: Fill-in & emergency cover
•Spot checks on support worker competency and on quality of care provision in partnership with the Branch manager
•Liaison with other agencies (eg Social Services) regarding service provision.
•Any other duties as reasonably required by the Branch Manager. The supervisor may also be asked to assist with administration (eg planning rotas) and on-call (out-of-hours telephone)

•Internal: The role holder interfaces and provides information to the local branch team, other teams, plans activities and projects with others and shares information.
•External: The role holder has frequent interaction with external parties; building relationships to enhance the service delivery including Social Services, Local Authorities and individual customers.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

•Be an experienced care worker
•Have good communication skills
•Be a trained Risk Assessor and Support Needs Assessor
•Have mentoring skills, for staff supervision
•Be able to represent client at Customer reviews
•Reliability
•Flexibility
•Ability to respect confidentiality
•Regular availability
•Entitled to work in UK
•Reliable access to transport (own car)
•Ability to work alone and within a team•

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Full driving licence & car driver. Flexible and adaptable to work across multiple sites and on various projects. Subject to DBS check and references.
